Hormonal imbalance does not happen overnight. It happens slowly over time. Many women have horrible PMS or menopausal symptoms, and others suffer from infertility. More often than not these hormone imbalances are cause from dysfunctions in the endocrine system which for those of you unfamiliar with this, it is your glandular system. Here are a few natural herbs you can use to get your imbalanced hormones under control.
alfalfa - The Ariel parts of Alfalfa are rich in estrogen and are used effectively to correct Hormonal Imbalance. Not only are they a good source of estrogen but also rich in other useful minerals and vitamins.
dandelion - extremely powerful antioxidants that help reduce oxidative stress as well as reduce the signs of aging.Two active compound found in all parts of the dandelion plant can help with blood sugar control.
nettle - women with heavy uterine bleeding and other menstrual problems may benefit from singing nettle. Also may help the body respond to free testosterone better (increases usable testosterone) so there isn’t a bunch of this androgen floating around in our bodies.
hibiscus - lowers estrogen. The flower is blood building and high in Vitamin C which helps support natural iron and progesterone levels. Hibiscus also lowers blood pressure and supports heart health (if you have low blood pressure it’s not recommended).
mint - the oil helps to relax uterine muscle spasms and relieve menstrual cramping. It helps to lower adrogens in the body such as testosterone. Having an elevated amount of testosterone can lead to acne, hirsutism, menstrual cycle irregularities.
rose hips - may be helpful for boosting the endocrine system.
raspberry - is loaded with uterine strengthening agents. It is also abundant in minerals and vitamins, particularly vitamin C. This herb has been known to increase fertility in both genders, prevent hemorrhage and miscarriage, and soothe heavy blood flow and painful menstrual cramps. Apart from that, it can reduce nausea related to pregnancy, ease pain during and after labor, and help encourage milk production
oat straw - may help to strengthen the nerves, calm the body, strengthen the blood, stabilize moods, strengthen digestion, sooth the stomach, balance the endocrine system or those hormone producing glands, support the skeletal system due to its abundance of bio-available calcium, magnesium, and silica, and calm the central nervous system.
horsetail - may ease the menstrual cramps and alleviate the symptoms during menstruation and menopause. It can help balance the hormones and thus the symptoms. Since horsetail can be used for excessive bleeding, it can also be helpful to prevent heavy menstrual flow.
rose - very soothing effect on the nerves and lift depression.
chrysanthemum - helpes to lower blood pressure, cool the body, and reduce inflammation, all of which can help to induce calmness. The powerful antioxidants and minerals present in the infusion can help your body better regulate itself and eliminate unnecessary stress hormones in the blood.
chamomile - is often thought of as a “sleep” tea but It can do more than just help us catch some zzz’s! it may help with fight inflammation, regulate blood sugar (helpful for PCOS and weight loss), lower testosterone levels (also helpful for PCOS symptoms like acne, hirsutism and irregular periods), reduce stress, soothe the gastro-intestinal tract.
black cohosh - This herb is native to North America. In fact, indigenous people discovered long ago that the plant’s root was helpful in alleviating menstrual and menopausal symptoms including mood swings, hot flashes, and sleep disturbances.
cramp bark - helps to restores sympathetic and parasympathetic balance in voluntary and involuntary muscle spasms of the autonomic nervous system. The sympathetic controls fight or flight, whilst the parasympathetic controls rest and digest – balance between these two systems is vital to overall vibrant health.
Licorice Root - helps balance estrogen levels and can help prevent estrogen dominance
fennel - is one of our favorite aromatic veggies to balance your hormones and keep your skin glowing!
Adults use 1-2ml one - two times a day as needed with a small cup of water to help assist with hormonal balance.
