hibiscus flowers - Studies have shown that drinking hibiscus tea offers heart-healthy benefits, such as lowering blood pressure. One small study showed that hibiscus tea increased ‘HDL’ (good) cholesterol, decreased ‘LDL’ (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides. Hibiscus isn’t a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise—it won’t magically get rid of weight, but it could play a role thanks to its diuretic properties.
lobelia - may help to bring down blood pressure, heart rate, relax muscles and dilate the blood vessels.
ginger - possesses a host of potent anti-inflammatory properties.These anti-inflammatory properties help intestinal inflammation, abdominal irritation, and heartburn. The consumption of ginger helps in the regulation of the flow of digestive juices in the gastrointestinal system thereby ensuring healthy absorption of nutrients. It also may help to tighten the sphincter muscle at the lower esophageal region thereby aiding in the prevention of the upward flow of digestive acids along the esophagus.
Passion flower - In a study, the extract of passionflower increased levels of an antioxidant enzyme while reducing levels of oxidized lipids that are broken from accumulated waste and toxins. For those who suffer from mild levels of hypertension; apart from maintaining a healthy lifestyle including regular exercise and a good diet, passionflower may help to regulate blood pressure levels. Please do not use if taking medication for this health condition.
dandelion - Research has shown that Dandelion works well as a diuretic, but the mechanism for its work is not understood. Research in Germany showed that it helped to detoxify the body and stimulate the production of bile. Dandelion helps with water retention, regulation of blood glucose, upset stomach, urinary tract infections, kidney and bladder stones, liver and loss of appetite.
burdock root - is rich in iron which makes it particularly beneficial for purifying the blood stream. It can also be useful for leveling blood sugar levels.
Adults use 1-2ml once a day with a small cup of water to help maintain a healthy heart.
